Youth Fall Volleyball - Fall 2026

For beginner and intermediate levels, boys and girls, learn volleyball basics and practice fundamentals through this team-oriented league where equal play is emphasized.

The 2nd-4th grade, 5th/6th grade, and 7th/8th grade will play in our in-house league at South Suburban against other South Suburban teams. High School teams will play in the CARA (Colorado Association of Recreation Athletics) league, against teams in the Denver-Metro Area, at various Denver-Metro Recreation Centers, unless we receive enough teams to play in-house at South Suburban.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are coaches selected?: Coaches are parent volunteers that are wanting to coach. We do strictly rely on parent volunteers, as we do not have enough staff to provide coaches.

When will I hear from a coach?: After the coach's meeting, once the team sites have been published.

When & where is the coaches meeting?: Wednesday, August 12th, 5:30PM at the Sports Complex, 4810 East County Line Road. This is for coaches only, no parents need to attend.

Can I request a specific coach/teammate?: Yes, you are able to request a coach/teammate. These requests are prioritized if the player is not waitlisted.

How can I ensure to get on a team?: Players must be enrolled into the program and not waitlisted. If players are waitlisted, then there is no guarantee that player will be placed on their requested team.

When do practices begin?: Practices begin the week of August 24th and will run until October 23rd.

How long are practices?: Practices occur Monday through Friday, run one hour in length and once per week for teams in 2nd-4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th. High School teams run for two hours per week.

How are practices determined?: Practices are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Coaches will be able to choose their time, day, and location from the options reserved at our rec centers. Practices will be held at either one of our recreation centers or the Sports Complex.

When do games start?: September 4th until October 24th.

Is there an in-house tournament?: No, instead the season will run for 8 regular season games.

When will the game schedule be posted?: August 26th.

Where are games played at?: For the in-house league games will be played at the South Suburban Sports Complex, 4810 E County Line Road. For the CARA League, games will be played at various rec centers in the Denver-Metro area.

Do I need to purchase a jersey?: If your child has not participated in the Spring or Fall 2025 Volleyball season, then yes. However, the same jersey can be used from the 2025 Volleyball seasons.

What equipment is needed to participate?: Kneepads, a jersey, and a volleyball.

Can a participant play up or down?: Players are allowed to play up a grade division but not down.
