Frequently Asked Questions

When should I hear from a coach?: Within a week of the coaches meeting. Should be before March 20th.

When do practices start?: Practice fields will be available starting the week of March 21.

Where are practices held?: Monday through Friday evenings at David A Lorenz Regional Park.

How are practices determined?: A practice availability grid will be sent out to all coaches. Time slots will be assigned based on the coaches responses and time preferences.

When & where is the coaches meeting?: Thursday March 17, 6:00 at the South Suburban Sports Complex - 4810 E County Line Rd, 80126.

When will the game schedule be posted?: On or before Friday, March 18.

When do games start?: Saturday, March 26.

Where are games played?: David A Lorenz Regional Park, or Altair Park - depending on the size of the league.

When are the games played?: All games are held on Saturdays.

Do I need to purchase a jersey?: ALL players MUST wear a South Suburban issued jersey in order to play! If you have a jersey from previous years, you can absolutely use those again. New jerseys are available for $15.

How do I request a certain coach?: There is a place on the registration form to type in your coach request; In most cases we can assign your child to that team if that coach is returning & if he/she does not already have a full roster.

When will jerseys and flags be issued?: Coaches will receive their entire rosters jerseys and flags, and will pass out to players at the first practice or game.

Can participant play up or down a grade?: Players can play up a grade division but not down.

How many games in the season?: Weather permitting, we do our very best to guarantee all teams get at least 7 games.

How long are the games?: Games are (2) twenty-five minute halves with a 3 minute halftime. (running clock)

Are weather cancellations rescheduled?: If 2 or more games are cancelled due to weather, we will make every effort to reschedule some of those games.

When will pictures be held?: Saturday April 2nd.

Are mouth guards required?: Yes - mouth guards are not supplied or included, but they are absolutely required!
