T-ball, Baseball, & Softball seasons are fast approaching – be sure to get your child registered for our upcoming Summer 2025 season!

Frequently Asked Questions

When do the games start?: Games start the week of June 2nd.

How long does the season last?: We strive to get every team at least 7 games. If we have 1 weather cancelation, the game will not be made up. If there is more than 1 cancelation, we will do our best to make up a game.

How can I register to coach a team?: That would be great! Please click the 'volunteer' tab and register. I will follow-up once I see you in the system.

When and where are practices?: Practices will be held on either Monday OR Tuesday, and can begin the week of May 26 - this will be determined by your volunteer coach.

Can I request a certain coach/teammate?: We do our very best to accommodate your request. In most cases we can make this happen, but it will depend on roster availability in most cases.

When will I hear from a coach?: Sometime between May 23 and May 25.

Can participants play up or down a grade: Players can play up a division, but not down.

What day and times are my games?: Games are held the same day & same time every week based the offering. For example, if you register for 2/3 Boys, Wed - 6:30 CKP, then ALL of your games will be played at 6:30 on Wednesdays at CKP

What type of ball will be used?: For all grades 3rd and under, a soft touch ball will be used. For all grades 4th and above, a hard touch ball will be used.

What if a division is full?: We will have wait lists set up for each division. If we get enough kids on a wait list to make 2 more teams, and we have the field space, we will do everything we can to make it happen.

What do the abbreviations stand for?: DEK - deKoevend Park, CKP - Cherry Knolls Park, WCP - Willow Creek Park, HME - Homestead Elementary

How is grade level determined?: Please register your child based on the grade they will be entering in Fall of 2025.

Grade 2/3?: Meets 2 times per week - 1 practice and 1 game. Coach pitch. Games played on grass field.

Grade 4/5?: Meets 2 times per week - 1 practice and 1 game. Transition from coach pitch to player pitch. Games played on dirt infield.

Grade 6/8?: Meets 2 times per week - 1 practice and 1 game. Player pitch. Games played on dirt infield.

What equipment do I need to supply?: Players are required to bring their own glove, helmet, and cleats/comfortable shoes. South Suburban will supply the rest. (bat, tees, bases, catchers equipment, balls...)

Do I need to purchase a jersey?: Jerseys from the 2024 season can be used again. If you do not have a 2024 jersey, you would need to purchase one.

Do I need to purchase a hat?: No - MLB team hats are included with registration cost.
