Youth Fall Volleyball - Fall 2025

A program supported by the Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics (CARA). For beginner and intermediate levels, boys and girls, learn volleyball basics and practice fundamentals through this team-oriented league where equal play is emphasized.

Our 2nd-4th grade, 5th/6th grade, and 7th/8th grade leagues will be playing games at South Suburban against other South Suburban teams. Our High School league will be partnering with the Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics (CARA) to play games against other teams from the Denver Metro Area.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • How are coaches selected?: Coaches are parent volunteers that are wanting to coach. We do strictly rely on parent volunteers, as we do not have enough staff to provide coaches.
  • When will I hear from a coach?: After the coach's meeting, once the team sites have been published.
  • When & where is the coaches meeting?: When: Wednesday, August 13th, 5:30PM Where: Sports Complex, 4810 East County Line Road. This is for coaches only, no parents need to attend.
  • Can I request a specific coach/teammate?: Yes, you are able to request a coach/teammate. These requests are prioritized if the player is not waitlisted.
  • When do practices begin?: First practices will begin the week of August 25th and will run for 8 weeks.
  • What days are practices?: Practices occur Monday through Friday, and are determined by the coaches.
  • How long are practices?: Practices run one hour in length and occur once per week for teams in 2nd-4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th. High School teams run for two hours per week.
  • How are practices determined?: Practices are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Coaches will be able to choose their time, day, and location from the options reserved at our rec centers.
  • When are games?: Games will be on Saturdays starting September 13th and will run until October 18th. The High School league with CARA is TBD.
  • When is the in-house tournament?: The in-house tournament for 2nd-4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th grades will take place on October 18th. Please note this may fall on your kid's Fall Break, and the tournament will not be moved to another date.
  • When will the game schedule be posted?: The game schedule will be posted September 3rd.
  • Where are the games played?: Games will be played at the South Suburban Sports Complex, 4810 E County Line Road. For our High School league, games will be played at various recreation centers in the Denver Metro Area.
  • Do I need to purchase a jersey?: If your child has not participated in the Spring 2025 Volleyball season, then yes. However, the same jersey can be used from the 2025 Spring Volleyball season.
  • What equipment is needed to participate?: Kneepads, a jersey, and a volleyball.
  • Can a participant play up or down?: Players are allowed to play up a grade division but not down.
  • How can I ensure to get on a team?: Players must be enrolled into the program and not waitlisted. If players are waitlisted, then there is no guarantee that player will be placed on their requested team.
